first in a series of posts to catch up on the many as-yet-unblogged adventures and travels of our spring

First uploaded video to flickr – quality seems very good.

This was Atticus with his new friends the Adams girls in Atlanta, from our visit to Beckie’s old college friends Tom and Melissa. The junior set got along famously.

Atticus asking me a riddle this morning:

“Why did the girl throw a stick of butter out the window?”

Me:”Hmm, I don’t know…Why?”

“Because she wanted to see a butter fly!”

(then, after a pause while looking as if he felt the story needed a little something more, and with a serious face:)

“She was a funny-looking sort of girl.”

In which Atticus gets into the rainwater we’ve collected, acts a fool, and gathers an audience from the preschool playground next door.

Doing one of his school songs for us. The monkeys got caught. Again.

Last Friday, Atticus shared one of his favorites, “David Goes to School” by David Shannon, with Beckie’s class at the end of the school day. He knows the story pretty well, I think.

His shirt might look odd; it’s because it was Backwards Day at preschool earlier.
