Moviefone: ‘Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire’ Movie Exclusive

Watched the Quicktime version. Covers a lot of ground and looks fantastic: still with an edge akin to PoA, but with an apparent return to the “bigger” production feel of the 1st 2. I suspect we’ll have to wait till the movie to get a glimpse of Voldemort.

DoG, into September

getting a block

Death or Glory (DoG), my team, made it to the semis in a very competitive tourny in Santa Cruz, CA – before getting blitzed vs. old rival Santa Barbara. Coming up, we enter the season proper, w/ the local tournament next weekend and the northeast regionals Oct 8 and 9 in the Boston area. This year’s team has a good bit of upside potential, so hopefully a return to the national semifinals or better is possible.

all good things

Monday, really, was the last day of summer, but… today is the first day of school for 16 new 4th graders and their intrepid leader. Tuesday was a day to prepare the classroom, and yesterday was a meeting day. Tomorrow, Atty and I will try to get over to the David A. Ellis school and meet the new troops, take pictures to pair with names, and generally blow their minds by getting to see that Mrs. Barrett has a life outside the school :)
